The North Shore Waterfront Industrial Association is pleased to once again sponsor the North Shore Working Waterfront Program – an educational program for North Vancouver elementary school students. Since the program began in 2000, about 10,000 Grade 4-6 school children have experienced the North Shore Working Waterfront program. The program was developed by NSWIA and is free to students. The program is funded by members of the North Shore Waterfront Industrial Association with total funding over the past ten years of more than $100,000.

North Shore Waterfront Industries Committed to Education in North Vancouver
North Shore Waterfront Industrial Association (NSWIA) member companies will continue their long-term commitment of sponsorship of the education program, Waterfront Industries in Our Backyard. NSWIA members recently approved funding for the 2002-2003 school year, which is the third year of the program, completely funded by NSWIA members. Developed by the Vancouver Maritime Museum for NSWIA, this program is designed for students in grades four to six and is offered exclusively to North Vancouver schools.
